Overall Summary

Friday began with a few light showers in the D.C. region, but they have since left for the east, and the sky is beginning to clear. After a warm start to 2023, it will become windy over the next few hours and feel a little cool. On Friday night, expect temperatures to drop; Saturday will be partly cloudy, windy, and chilly.

On Sunday, a storm system will pass to our south, increasing the likelihood of rain by the afternoon. However, the D.C. area will be just above freezing Sunday night, so there won’t be any problems with travel. It may be chilly enough for this rain to be mixed with some sleet and snow, but that isn’t predicted. Monday morning will see an end to the rain. Tuesday will bring us calm weather.

As you can see from this forecast, it looks like Sunday may not be ideal for outdoor activities but should still be manageable if you plan accordingly and dress appropriately for any potential wet weather conditions. It’s always best to know what weather you can expect when planning outdoors in D.C.!
